Every part number carries its paperwork.
Height safety equipment is only as good as the documentation behind it. Here is the standard each family is built and declared to, what arrives with your shipment, and how to obtain a certificate against a specific part or batch.
Four documents, every time
No unit leaves our line without its own paperwork. If a document is missing from a delivery, tell us the part number and we will reissue it the same day.
Instructions for use
The manufacturer’s IFU for that exact revision of the product: fitting, compatibility, inspection criteria, retirement rules and the limits of use.
Declaration of conformity
The declaration naming the standard the product is built and tested to, issued against the part number on your invoice.
Serial and batch record
Every unit is serial numbered. The batch is recorded against your order so a single item can be traced back to its production run.
Inspection record
The pre-despatch inspection sheet, plus a blank pre-use checklist matched to that product family for your own records.
What each family is declared to
These are the standards declared for the equipment we manufacture. Where a product carries more than one, all are listed on its own product page and in its declaration of conformity.
| Karabiners and connectors | CE EN 12275 · notified body 1282 |
|---|---|
| Ascenders and rope clamps | CE EN 567:2013 · XF 494-2023 · notified body 1282 |
| Descenders | EN 341:2011 Class 2A |
| Pulleys and rope adjustment devices | EN 12841 Type C · XF 494-2023 |
| Dynamic and low-stretch rope | GB/T 8834-2016 |
| Helmets | GB 24429-2009 |
| Harnesses | Notified body 1282 (per model, see product page) |
| Energy-absorbing lanyards | GB 24543-2009 |
| Wire rope slings | GB 30862-2014 |

Certificates and declarations are issued per order and per part number rather than published as a static file, so what you receive always matches the revision of the product in your hands. Request the current certificate for any part number and we will send it with the test report.
Insured, numbered, traceable
Product liability cover
Our equipment carries product insurance underwritten by PICC. The policy reference for a given family is supplied on request for your own procurement file.
Serial-level traceability
Quote us a serial number and we will tell you the batch it came from, the production date, the standard it was declared to at that date and the IFU revision that shipped with it.
Test reports
Batch test reports for breaking strength and, where applicable, dynamic performance, are available against the batch on your delivery note.
Field notices
If a batch is ever the subject of a field notice, we contact every buyer of that batch directly. Traceability exists so that call can be made.
Read the standard, not the logo
A standard number is only meaningful with its type and class. EN 12841 Type C is a descent device; Type A is a backup and Type B an ascender, and they are not interchangeable in a system. EN 341 Class 2A describes the descent energy a device is rated for. If you are specifying a system rather than an item, send us the task, the working height, the anchor situation and the jurisdiction, and we will come back with a compliant configuration and the clearance calculation behind it.
Regional requirements differ
Equipment declared to a Chinese national standard is not automatically acceptable to a Canadian or European jurisdiction, and the reverse is equally true. Tell us the market and we will confirm what is required before you order.
Private label and OEM
Private-label runs are declared under the arrangement agreed at order, and certification scope is confirmed in writing before production starts.
Inspection is not optional
Pre-use inspection by the user, plus a periodic inspection by a competent person at the interval your jurisdiction requires. Our checklists support the first and never replace the second.
Need a document for an audit?
